Registration

The 2023 ACM SIGIR Conference is a hybrid in-person/virtual conference. We encourage in-person participations, and we provide live streaming for most presentation sessions, including ceremonies, keynotes, panels, tutorials, and workshops.

Author Registration Amendment (dated 5/25): The author registration policy described here is effective immediately. Student author will apply student registration rate. Each accepted paper should have at least one in-person registration and present at the conference in-person. Conference papers (full, short, demo, perspectives, resource, reproducibility, and SIRIP tracks) should register either SIGIR Passport or SIGIR Main Conference. Tutorial, doctoral consortium, and workshop papers should at least cover the associated tutorial day and workshop day, respectively.

One participant requires one registration only, if he/she is the author of multiple accepted papers.

For student authors who registered in non-student rate, the price difference will be refunded to the same credit card in a couple of weeks. For student travel grants awardee, no action is required. Contact conference secretariat sigir2023.reg@elitepco.com.tw if you need any assistance.

Author Registration: Each accepted paper must have at least one non-student In-Person Main Conference (3 days) Registration. Even if a student author is the only registrant for an accepted paper, they still must register for a Non-student In-Person Main Conference (3 days).
All speakers, presenters, organizers are expected to attend the conference in person. For exceptional reasons, if you are not able to attend in person to present, you may assign a proxy who must be in person. For special cases, we may make an exception for a live remote presentation. which you can fill out this form: (5/3 updated) Paper author should confirm the presentation type by filling up the following form. For those papers intended to be presented remotely, authors should fill-up the form before 5/23 6/4. Presentation Type confirmation form: https://forms.gle/eAkq7rx8eMbSPimPA
(4/20 updated) The presenting author should register by the camera-ready deadline of April 26 (This deadline is not applied to SIGIR Student Travel Grants applicants). Papers without a valid accompanying registration may be excluded from the proceedings.
(5/3 updated) Student Travel Grants applicants should complete valid author registration (Non-student, In-person type) by May 15. (5/12 updated) the author registration due extends to May 30.
