Registration

Registration is now available online. You will be able to pay by credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Note that accommodations should be booked separately; see the Accommodations page.  In the meantime, to help you budget your conference expenses, the prices below give the preliminary pricing of the conference, workshop and tutorials for SIGIR 2008.

SIGIR Online Registration System

To encourage attendees to take advantage of the great co-located tutorials and workshops, we are offering package registration that will help save money for attendees looking to add tutorials and workshop to their SIGIR experience. All the following prices are in Singapore dollars.

Those interested in registering for a package and who want to add additional workshops or tutorials should register twice: once for the package and once for the additional items via the A La Carte option. We apologies for any inconvenience.

Your conference registration will include:

Tutorial registration includes tutorial notes, coffees/teas, and lunch.
Workshop registration includes workshop notes, coffees/teas, and lunch.
Package rates will include the above, as appropriate.

Other Payment Methods
For individuals who cannot pay by credit card, exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the conference secretariat, Siew Foong Ho <hosf@comp.nus.edu.sg> to make alternative payment arrangements.

Invitation Letter
An invitation letter will be issued to those registrants who are in need of an invitation letter and who complete the registration process. For exceptional cases, any parties who need an invitation letter for visa before registering needs to contact the conference secretarial at <sigir08@comp.nus.edu.sg> for case by case application.

Refunds
Refunds will be made on a case-by-case basis.  Due to administrative overheads, we have to impose a fee of 50 SGD + 50% of the refund amount for any refunds that are made, up to the 13 July normal registration deadline.  Unfortunately, refund requests after the 13 July deadline cannot be entertained.
